Upcoming Google Tablet in 2012 - Google Android Tablet 2012

The tablet market is getting more crowded. When Apple is reigning the market with its iPad and Amazon's Kindle Fire is making new waves, Google can't be expected to be far behind.

Google chairman Eric Schmidt has announced in an interview with Italian publication Carriere Della Sera that the company is looking to launch its own tablet within the next six months.

Though other specifications were not revealed, in all probability, it will run on Android or Ice Cream Sandwich. Going by Google's potential, its technology could be superior to compete with next generation tablets.

“In mobile communications … you will see brutal competition between Apple and Google Android. It is capitalism,” Schmidt was quoted as saying.

Though it's risky to guess the price, it could be less than $500, the price of iPad as not many would be willing to pay more for a non-Apple brand.
